Get Credentialed as a Perinatal Doula
The Certified Perinatal Doula (CPD) credential is Pennsylvania's voluntary statewide certification recognized by Medicaid. Earning your CPD demonstrates your commitment to professional standards and opens the door to Medicaid reimbursement for your services.
Choose the Experienced - Trained- or Certified Pathway
Complete a doula training program that meets the CPD education requirements
Gather Your Documentation
Collect proof of training, client evaluations, and any required continuing education hours.
Submit Your Application
Apply through the PA Certification Board. The CPD credential is administered by the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
Enroll as a Medicaid Provider
Once credentialed, enroll with DHS as a Medicaid provider to begin billing for your doula services.
